Breakfast with Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

Before you read about my fun, delicious breakfast date with Anaís, check out my last blog post about my wonderful Cracker Barrel finds!

After my last online shopping binge at Cracker Barrel’s website, I decided to go back for more. This time I wanted to try some of their “Favorites” or so it’s listed on their website. Under their “Cracker Barrel’s favorites” list, their are a ton of delicious gift baskets, hams, jams, mixes, you name it! However, I was fixated on one thing, pumpkin.

Tis the season of pumpkin after all! I wanted to try something new, something that could maybe become a staple food in our house (during the season of fall of course) and that we will all enjoy. I opted for Cracker Barrel Coffee – Pumpkin Pie and Cracker Barrel Pumpkin Pancake Mix.

Let’s start with Cracker Barrel’s Pumpkin Pie Coffee. I enjoy getting a Pumpkin Spiced Latte a few times during the season as a sweet pick me up, but I didn’t know what to expect from this coffee. Was it going to be too sweet? Is it going to be pumpkin overload? How do they create a pumpkin roast coffee?

To be honest, I enjoyed every sip of this autumn-infused goodness. The pumpkin aroma filled our home and brought all the fall feels. I enjoyed drinking a few cups throughout the day and just basking in this special fall brew.

You’re probably wondering if I added creamer because I’m a 100% hazelnut-loving-gal, but the truth is I really didn’t. The smell and taste of pumpkin was perfect enough to only add a few drops of half & half. I didn’t even need sugar!

Now let’s get to Anaís’ favorite part, the Pumpkie Pancake Mix! Whoa buddy! It was like having a soft, delicious slice of pumpkin cake for breakfast. Baby girl enjoyed every bite and washed it down with some warm milk. We topped our pancakes with some whipped cream and a few sprinkles of cinnamon and nutmeg, it was delightful.

The instructions on the box were easy to follow, it’s just like your average pancake mix except these were delightfully delicious and is now a seasonal favorite in our home!

Nothing says welcome golden colors of autumn, like the sweet, comforting aroma of pumpkin. It’s even better when you can have it for breakfast, lunch, and dinner! These two Cracker Barrel favorites are favorites indeed! The Douglas House just found new, yummy staples for their kitchen in autumn!

Happy fall y’all!
