Diana’s Candles

A few weeks ago I came across Diana’s Candles. It is a small shop owned by a mom of three. I read her story on why she began her business and I adore it. Did you know she started it because of health conditions her and her children struggle with? She makes her own candles, bath bombs, facial scrubs, and even charcoal based products. All of her creations contain natural and organic ingredients. I was intrigued. I decided to try out a few products on my own (who doesn’t love supporting small businesses!) here is my review of her products!

Love Spell Candle

Talk about a blast from the past! This was my favorite scent to wear during high school. I had to try it! The smell is strong and lasting. So you don’t need to burn it often. I enjoy lighting this candle during my shower. It fills our home with a vibrant floral fragrance, cherry blossoms and peaches.

I’ve been burning it for a two weeks now and it’s still going!

The candle is made from:

  • Soy wax
  • Eco-friendly wick
  • Fragrance oil (phthalate free)

I highly recommend this candle if you enjoy floral fragrances! IHere’s a full listing of her candles: Diana’s Soy Candles

Lavender & Chamomile + Peppermint Shower Steamers

I am going to be honest, I absolutely hate taking baths. Im not a fan of my skin touching a tub, I’ve had that mentality since I was a toddler (according to my mom) I just don’t like the feel of it. Weird, I know! But when I read that Diana sold shower steamers, I knew I had to try them out! Everyone is going on and on about bath bombs, I felt neglected — hahaah

I didn’t know quite what to expect, as I’ve never used one before, but I followed her directions and tried them.

Lavender & Chamomile Steamer:

Lavender and chamomile are both known for their relaxing, calming effects. As a mom I’m always stressing out and I wanted to have a moment of relaxation to myself, even if I don’t like baths. I decided to give this combination a go and I loved it! The smell is so inviting and calming, and the steamer lasted through three showers! (here’s a tip: keep it as far away from the water as you can and quickly wrap it up when you’re done to use again!) my hubby loved how relaxed I was after my hour long shower. He told me I should get more of these– haha!!

Peppermint Shower Steamer:

To be honest, I love peppermint! I bake it into my cookies and cakes, I combine it with my hot cocoa and holiday cocktails, it’s even my favorite flavor of gum! But the biggest reason I wanted to try this was because I had been sick for a week straight and I needed some sort of relieve for my congestion and constant headache. According to Google, peppermint helps. So I ordered a peppermint steamer as well. I wasn’t disappointed. The smell is strong, very strong! My head felt clear and my nose was relieved of sinus pressure. Her website doesn’t mention it being an aid in coping with the flu but it does!!

Minty Foot Scrub

THIN MINTS! That is all I can smell and think about when I use this peppermint and cocoa butter foot scrub.

I’m not a fan of people touching my feet, so I enjoy doing my own pedicures at home. I usually use a washcloth and a store bought scrub after soaking my feet, to get rid of the dead skin. It was ok, didn’t make a huge difference.

I decided to try this scrub because it contains: sugar, organic coconut oil, cocoa butter, shea butter, peppermint and tea tree essential oils. All of which are natural ingredients, something the store brands lack. I’m a huge fan of natural products.

I began incorporating this scrub it into my pedicure routine (I do one twice a week, every week.) Over the past few weeks my feet have never been so smooth, soft, or smelled so delicious LOL. I definitely recommend the Minty Foot Scrub if the winter has been harsh on your feet as well. It’s a great rejuvenator.

Passionate Kisses Whipped Sugar Scrub

I couldn’t resist trying this whipped sugar scrub, those three words alone got me. I enjoy the occasional body scrub, especially on those days where I need a good pick-me-up. This scrub radiates such a wonderful, subtle, floral scent. It’s amazing! (I think it would be a great scrub to use on Valentine’s Day) The coconut oil and shea butter felt amazing on my skin. I didn’t need to use lotion after my shower. Talk about a plus, especially with a wild child living with us. I definitely recommend if you have dry skin and want to pamper yourself!!

Oatmeal Face Scrub

According to Diana’s website, this was her first face scrub!! If this is true, she did a great job!

This face scrub radiates the wonderful smells of an oatmeal cookie and brown sugar. If you know me, you know how much I love oatmeal cookies!

The winter/fall season dries my skin out. I moisturize consistently and exfoliate as often as I should. I’ve also been using different, natural and organic masks to help combat this. However, she stated that this mask helps moisturize. I was skeptical at first when I read this Oatmeal Face Scrub contained dark brown sugar and cinnamon. It sounded more like a meal than a scrub LOL. But, I decided to give it a try because the ingredients are all natural and inviting: organic coconut oil, natural grape seed oil, cinnamon, Vitamin E, Glycerin, Raw Honey, Organic Cane Sugar, Dark Brown Sugar and Oatmeal.

Want my honest review? I loved it! The consistency is something to get used to. The oils in the mask make it a bit runny, so don’t wear your favorite shirt while using it — hahah. But, she’s right. I didn’t need to moisturize after I used it. A quarter sized amount is all you need, my jar is still full. It calms irritated skin (this usually happens after I wear a full face of makeup) and soothes breakouts. I will admit, I was tempted to taste it the whole time it was on my face. But I do recommend trying it for yourself. There is also a Coffee Scrub that I plan on trying soon!

Here’s a list of all of her scrubs. They range from foot scrubs, body scrubs, and facial scrubs: Diana’s Collection of Scrubs

I hope you enjoyed my first skincare review. I’m always looking for organic, natural skincare. When I find a winner, I always share it with my friends. However, you have all asked for me to share my routines and products with you as well. I will be sure to keep doing so in the future! 🙂
